Regular attendance and arriving on time support both individual learning and overall class progress.
If your child is absent or arrives late, please notify the school with the following information:
- Date of absence
- Child’s name and class
- Reason for absence
- Name of parent/caregiver
This information is required in line with Department of Education policy.
Students arriving after 8.30am must report to the front office to obtain a late pass before going to class.
Walking Home From School /Safety Houses
If your child walks home from school, it is important they know the safest and most direct route. Walking the route together beforehand can help build confidence and reinforce road safety and awareness.
Please ensure your child is aware of safe places along their route where they can seek help if needed.
Absences For Holidays
Extended absences during term time can disrupt student learning. As these absences may not meet Department of Education guidelines, work will generally not be provided, aside from daily reading.
If you plan to take your child out of school during term time, please provide written notification via Compass to the school office outlining the reason and dates of absence.
